Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 glass of warm water
  • 1 tablespoon grape vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 3 tablespoons of crushed poppy seeds
  • 1 tea glass of oil
  • 1 cup boiled green lentils
  • 1/4 bunch chopped parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili pepper

    Although it is a pastry made mainly in the Afyon region, it is prepared from yeast dough, but since its dough resembles manti dough, it is usually made with the addition of warm water, a small amount of vinegar (to add crispness) and salt. It rests at room temperature.

    It reaches its final form with the addition of poppy seeds roasted over low heat, blended with oil. After the dough is divided into balls, it is wrapped in a roll with boiled green lentil filling and baked.

    Take the flour in a bowl. Add warm water, vinegar and salt and knead. Knead a dough as soft as an earlobe. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

    Take the poppy seeds in a bowl. Add oil and mix.

    Drain the boiled lentils and place them in a bowl. Add finely chopped parsley, salt and spices and mix.
