Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2pack baking powder
  • 1/4pack fresh yeast
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
  • 2.5 cups of flour
  • 2.5 glasses of water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 drops lemon juice
  • Place it in a cold oven set at 180 degrees and leave it to cook for 15 minutes. When the tops are browned, remove the tray from the oven.

Instructions

  1. 1

Warm the milk and put it in a deep kneading bowl, crumble the yeast into it, add the sugar and dissolve the yeast completely by mixing it with your finger.

  2. 2

After waiting for about 5 minutes for it to ferment, add the egg, oil, baking powder and flour and knead until you get a soft but non-sticky dough.

  3. 3

Divide the dough into 3 equal pieces, add cocoa to one of the pieces and knead until it is completely homogeneous.

  4. 4

Cover your dough, two plain and one with cocoa, with a damp cloth and leave it to rest for about 30 minutes.

  5. 5

While the dough is resting, prepare the syrup. For the sherbet, put water and sugar in a pot, stir until the sugar dissolves and let it boil. When the sherbet starts to boil, add a drop of lemon into it and turn off the heat after it boils like this for about 10 minutes.

  6. 6

Set the sherbet aside to warm up. Your sherbet should not cool completely, it should remain warm.

  7. 7

Take one of the plain meringues and roll it out as thinly as you can on a lightly floured counter.

  8. 8

Divide the cocoa meringue in half and roll it under your palm to make a cylinder long enough for the middle of the plain dough you rolled out.

  9. 9

Place the cocoa dough, which you rolled into a cylinder, in the middle of the plain dough you rolled out.

  10. 10

Fold the plain dough in half in a D shape, leaving the cocoa dough in between.
